Conflict Minerals Sourcing Statement

4B Components is deeply concerned regarding the human tragedies occurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries associated with the mining of conflict minerals such as tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold (3T&G).  We understand and support the need to have programs which allow for improved transparency in 3T&G mining and improved traceability within the supply chain.

4B Components Ltd. does not purchase conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold (3T&G)) directly from mines or smelters. Furthermore, there are many supplier chain layers that separate us from the mines and smelters.  Consequently, we require our suppliers to determine the source and conflict status of 3T&G supplied to 4B and we continue to work with our supply chain and gather this information.  To date, 4B has no indication that 4B products contain minerals from conflict areas.

4B Components is working diligently towards a goal of assuring our products are manufactured and sourced from socially responsible supply chains.  To this goal we are conducting annual RCOI (Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry) audits and where applicable, smelter sourcing due diligence as per the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and we are using the Responsible minerals Initiative’s Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) for our RCOI.
