Braime Clamp Belt Splices
The Braime Clamp (BC) series of heavy-duty belt splices securely fastens belting on larger bucket elevators. The BC2, BC3 and BC4 versions incorporate an additional three piece machined steel vise grip section designed to ride above the aluminum base clamp and secure the steel cords within a steel web core belt.

Do I have to use the Braime Clamp (BC) splice with Polysur® steel web core belting? |
Yes, the Braime Clamp (BC2, BC3 and BC4) was specifically designed for steel web core belting. |
Can the BC1 version of the Braime Clamp be used with Polysur® steel web core belting? |
No, the BC1 is for textile belts only. The BC2, BC3 and BC4 versions incorporate an additional three piece vise grip |
section designed to secure the steel cords. |
Is there a specific type of elevator bolt to use with Polysur® steel web core belting? |
4B recommends Euro DIN 15237 elevator bolts with hex keyed ends. The hex keyed ends make installation much |
easier when trying to get the bolt through the steel web core. Using a hex or allen wrench allows you to "screw" the |
bolt through the steel webbing. |
