Watchdog™ Super Elite
Monitoring System for Bucket Elevators or Belt Conveyors


The Watchdog Super Elite (WDC4) is easy to install and simple to set-up. The system processes signals from sensors for belt misalignment, belt speed & slip, continuous bearing temperature, pulley misalignment and plug conditions for bucket elevators or belt conveyors.  When an alarm is detected it will sound an alarm and provide shutdown control of the elevator/conveyor and feeding system.

A 3.5” LCD screen displays the entire system status at a glance.  Password protected controller settings can be set up either directly on the LCD screen, or by a PC application and transferred to the WDC4 via an SD card.

The Watchdog Super Elite can be connected directly to a PLC using the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, or integrated into®.  This secure cloud based solution provides live system status, graphs and historical data that is viewable on any web-enabled device (smart phone, tablet, desktop PC).

Brass rub blocks process temperature information.  When the belt from a bucket elevator or conveyor rubs against the brass block, heat is created from the friction which is then relayed to a temperature sensor generating an alarm.

The ADB series have been designed to allow the depth of the sensor to be adjustable.  They screw directly into a bearing housing through the existing grease zerk thread.  Each sensor is fitted with a grease zerk to allow lubrication of the bearing without the need for removal of the sensor.

  Can I upgrade my older Watchdog WDC3 to the new WDC4?  
  Yes, all WDC3NV46C models can be easily upgraded to the new WDC4.  Previous Watchdog models (WDC3V46C,  
  WDC2V6C) can be upgraded with minimal hardware changes.  
  How much of a learning curve is there with the new WDC4 unit?  
  4B has designed the new WDC4 to be super user friendly with simple set-up and installation.   If you are already familiar with the previous WDC3 model, you will be up an running with the WDC4 in no time.  
  The WDC4 has more sensor inputs than the WDC3, do I have to use all the inputs on the WDC4?  
  You can pick any combination of sensor inputs, the WDC4 is flexible based on your application.
